William Henry Parker III was the police chief of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Biography
In 1965, William Parker was leading his police forces during the Watts riots when the Comedian came to "help". When he created more havoc than it was, Parker scolded him, so the Comedian threw dog feces in his face and ran away.
Robert F. Kennedy later called him, demanding an apology for Parker's behalf.[1]
