Watchmen Companion is a compilation book featuring Watchmen: Who Watches the Watchmen? and Watchmen: Taking Out the Trash game modules, along with Watchmen Sourcebook, as part of the DC Heroes role-playing game-sanctioned by Alan Moore, including illustrations by artist Dave Gibbons created especially for the games, and expanding on the mythology of Watchmen. It was released on December 18, 2019.[1]
Synopsis[]
During the creation of Watchmen, Ray Winninger and Daniel Greenberg worked under the guidance of Alan Moore to further expand the world and history of the Watchmen universe.
This Moore-sanctioned prequel came to life in the form of two game modules, Watchmen: Who Watches the Watchmen? and Watchmen: Taking Out the Trash, along with the extensive Watchmen Sourcebook, which incorporated new mythology and adventures alongside new art from series artist Dave Gibbons. These rare, long-out-of-print books are now collected for the first time ever in one extensive, oversize hardcover collection.
Featuring a brand-new introduction by Winninger, writer of Watchmen: Taking Out the Trash and the Watchmen Sourcebook, this one-of-a-kind collection also presents The Question #17 (guest-starring Rorschach) and never-before-collected material such as the first appearance of Watchmen from DC Spotlight #1, the Who's Who pages dedicated to the Watchmen characters, and a behind-the-scenes article and art from the making of the landmark series.[1]
