Watchmen: Chapter I is an animated superhero mystery film, and the first of a two-part adaptation of the 1986–1987 DC Comics limited series of the same name. It follows a group of retired superheroes in an alternate 1985 America and the ensuing investigation after one of them is murdered. It was released on August 13, 2024.
Warner Bros. announced in April 2017 that it is developing an R-rated animated film based on the comic book.[1] At San Diego Comic-Con 2023, it was announced that the film would be released in 2024.[2]

Sequel[]
Watchmen Chapter II was originally scheduled for late 2024, but was later moved to sometime in 2025.
