Trivia[]

  • In real life, Timothy McVeigh successfully carried out the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995 that killed 168 people, 19 of whom were children, and injured more than 680 others, and destroyed one third of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The bombing was the deadliest act of terrorism in the United States prior to the September 11 attacks. It remains one of the deadliest acts of domestic terrorism in U.S. history.
  • Following his conviction in 1995, McVeigh was found with pages from the white supremacist novel The Turner Diaries. It is likely that McVeigh was also influenced by the excerpts from Rorschach's journal published by the New Frontiersman due to its influence on far-right individuals and groups.
