John Ray Grisham Jr. is a novelist and former lawyer who served as a associate judge of the Supreme Court of the United States since 2002.
Biography[]
Between 1989 and 2001, John Grisham published thirteen novels under his name. All but four were made into films, including the The Pelican Deposition starring Julia Roberts and Denzel Washington.
In 2002, John Grisham was appointed to the Supreme Court as an Associate Justice by President Robert Redford after a contentious process in the Senate.
There have been rumors that Grisham continued to publish novels under different pseudonyms, but he has insisted those rumors are not true.
In September 8th, 2019, Grisham retired from the Supreme Court. With Grisham retired, Redford intended to nominate another liberal judicial to fill in his seat.
