Jesse Ventura (born James George Janos) was an American politician and former governor of Minnesota who served as the 44th Vice President of the United States and third vice president under Robert Redford. Prior to going into politics, Ventura was also an former professional wrestler and actor.
Biography[]
After Vice President Carol Moseley Braun resigned in 2009 for unknown reasons, Robert Redford was pressured by conservative Democrats and Independents to appoint Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura to the vice presidency. Ventura had leveraged the Redford Administration with evidence about the government’s involvement in 11/2. The gambit paid off and Redford/Ventura eked out a victory in 2012. Ventura died two weeks after the election under mysterious circumstances and was replaced by Delaware Senator Joe Biden.[1]
