Edmund Gerald Brown Jr. was the Governor of California and the running mate of Robert Redford in their failed bid to oust Richard Nixon from the White House in 1988.
Biography[]
Following his loss in 1988, to appeal to more centrist voters, Redford picked Senator Bob Kerrey as his running mate and first vice president instead of Brown.[1]
