James Doyan is a former police detective and the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Biography[]
James Doyan worked as a major crimes detective in Chicago, Illinois. During his tenure there, he and his team were overwhelmed with unsolved cases and as a result the community had lost faith in the Chicago Police Department. In 1984, believing that technology could make police work more organized effective, Doyan's commander installed computers at the office. Like the rest of his colleagues, he was resistant to using this new technology. Doyan's partner, however, took advantage of the new technology – and within six months, he had cleared twice as many cases as anyone else. Within a year, he became their new supervisor.
At some point, Doyan ended up working for the FBI and rose up the ranks to become it's director.
On August 29th, 2019, Doyan wrote a memo to the Anti-Vigilante Task Force announcing the reintroduction of reintroduction of STAGE FIVE technologies that were once deemed harmful due to the attack on New York City by a "transdimentional" squid in 1985 and the belief that Doctor Manhattan gave his former associates cancer via radiation. He encourages his employees to embrace their new legally mandated crime-fighting equipment.[1]
