Dale Petey is an American government memorandum authored in October 1st, 2019 by FBI Deputy Director Max Farragut.

Summary[]

Max Farragut announces the immediate termination of Dale Petey to all the members of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Petey's computer folder is scheduled to be deleted from the share server in 48 hours, and his documents will only exist as hard copy. Farragut asserts that Peteypedia should serve as an example on how not to conduct professional electronic discourse. He further explains that every agent should only contain concise analysis and most pertinent information in their computer folders, as opposed to Petey's documents such as his summations of American Hero Story and schematics of pornographic space-age sex toys.

A maintenance crew is scheduled to box up the contents of Petey's office in the afternoon, and Farragut gives the Anti-Vigilante Task Force permission to take anything they want from the stacks of media, ephemera, and straight-up junk cluttering his workspace. This includes multiple copies of The Rorschach Journal, pirate comic books, and a jug of canola oil. Farragut personally took a new album by the Nine Inch Nails entitled The Manhattan Project and destroyed it, much to his delight. Farragut despises the music believing that it's rotting his son's brain.

Farragut is well aware of the office chatter about what happened to Petey and his recent work with Special Agent Laurie Blake. He addresses those matters briefly and in order of importance.

Farragut confirms the reappearance of Agent Blake following her disappearance in Tulsa and her eventual return from Karnak. Blake is being debriefed at a secure and classified location due to the sensitive nature of the discoveries she made over the course of her investigations, none of which Farragut is privy to. He reminds those whispering that said discoveries involve hoaxes and conspiracies linked to President Robert Redford of the oaths that they took as federal agents and reminds everyone that Blake is alive and well and she wishes to thank those who cared for her pet owl, Who, while she was away.

Despite the assurance of Blake's safety, Farragut remains baffled by Petey's whereabouts. After defiantly refusing his direct order to suspend his activities in Tulsa and return to Washington, Farragut instructed the Tulsa field office to relieve him of his badge. However, according to the Tulsa Police Department, Petey has gone missing. Given the simultaneous deaths of Oklahoma Senator Joe Keene and trillionaire Lady Trieu, it is believed that Petey has taken it upon himself to continue the investigation despite the FBI closing it.

The nature of Peteypedia has Farragut come to the revelation that Petey is, and most likely has always been, at risk for vigilante behavior, and that the Anti-Vigilante Task Force may soon be investigating him.
