Carl Bernstein was an investigative journalist for The Washington Post.

Biography

In 1972, Carl Bernstein teamed up with Bob Woodward to investigate the break in at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C.. In January 1973, they uncovered evidence exposing Richard Nixon's involvement in the burglary. Before they can report their findings, both Woodward and Bernstein are assassinated, and the evidence they gathered exposing Nixon's involvement in the Watergate scandal is destroyed.[1]
