The Blue Wave of 1992 was a Democratic wave election that swept Robert Redford into the White House along with bringing an end to 24 years of conservative rule of the Nixon and Ford administrations.[1]

History[]

Adrian Veidt would engineer the Blue Wave by funding many Democratic Party candidates in the late 80s and early 90s, to bring about his utopia of a progressive, stronger loving world. On January 21, 1993, Redford would view the tape of Veidt claiming responsibility for the attack, after viewing the tape Redford would curb Adrian's influence in politics with the Campaign Finance Reform and Donor Disclosure Act.[1] The 1991-1992 Republican majority Senate checked the power of the Blue Wave.[2]

The wave would bring about a period of liberal governance under the Redford Administration from 1993 to 2019. Right-wing reactionaries would form their own communities called Nixonvilles as a response to the event and the publication of the Rorschach Journal.[3]

Trivia[]

  • A wave election is frequently used to describe an election cycle in which one party makes significant gains in the U.S. Senate or U.S. House.[4]
  • This election has some similarities to the Republican Revolution of 1994, in were the Republican party swept both legislative bodies, getting large majorities in both the House and Senate. It was the first time since 1952 that the Republicans had a majority in the House.
