Assassination of Robert F. Kennedy[]
On June 5, 1968, after winning the California Democratic presidential primary, Senator Robert F. Kennedy delivered a victory speech to his supporters at the Ambassador Hotel. Shortly after his speech in the Embassy Room, Sirhan Sirhan attempted to assassinate Kennedy. Amid the commotion, Eddie Blake secretly carried out the fatal attack. Although Sirhan Sirhan did not shoot Kennedy, he was arrested at the scene and later convicted of the murder.
